Prepare your Matcha: Retrieve your JAR of Ceremonial Matcha from the freezer and allow it to come to room temperature. This protects its delicate flavor and aroma.
Whisk the base: Scoop your matcha into a bowl. Add a splash of 80ºC water—just enough to form a smooth, even paste. Use a chasen (bamboo whisk) in gentle circular motions to dissolve any clumps.
Create the crema: Pour in 1 to 2 oz of hot water and whisk vigorously in a zig-zag motion until a layer of fine, emerald microfoam forms on the surface. Add in sweetener if desired.
Assemble with care: Gently spoon or pour the strawberry puree in your glass. Top with ice, your Matcha, and your milk of choice. Add a dusting of matcha powder, if desired.
