CLASSIC MATCHA LATTE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp Ceremonial Matcha
  • 1/4 cup 80ºC Water
  • 3/4 cup milk or plant-based milk
  • Sugar, agave, maple syrup or sweetener of choice

KITCHEN TOOLS

  • Chawan
  • Whisk
  • Jar
  • Blender / Frother

 

  1. Start with your Matcha:
    Remove your JAR of Ceremonial Matcha from the freezer and allow it to come to room temperature. This preserves its full spectrum of flavor.
  2. Make a matcha paste:
    Scoop your matcha into a bowl. Add a small amount of cold water—just enough to form a smooth, even paste. Whisk gently in circular motions until no clumps remain.
  3. Whisk to life:
    Add 1 to 2 oz of cold water and whisk vigorously in a zig-zag motion until the surface blooms with a fine layer of emerald microfoam.
  4. Froth your milk of choice:
    Froth your milk using a countertop espresso machine, or milk frother.
  5. Assemble with care:
    Add your Matcha to your mug, adding your sweeter of choice if you're adding any, then, either layer your foam on top, or use this opportunity to practice your latte art.
  6. Swirl & sip:
    Enjoy!
