MATCHA AFFOGATTO

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp Ceremonial Matcha
  • 1/4 cup 80ºC Water
  • Vanilla Ice Cream (Or, experiment with other flavours!)

  • Blender / Frother
  • Bowl
  1. Prepare your Matcha:
    Retrieve your JAR of Ceremonial Matcha from the freezer and allow it to come to room temperature. This protects its delicate flavor and aroma.
  2. Whisk the base:
    Scoop your matcha into a bowl. Add a splash of 80ºC water—just enough to form a smooth, even paste. Use a chasen (bamboo whisk) in gentle circular motions to dissolve any clumps.
  3. Create the crema:
    Pour in 1 to 2 oz of hot water and whisk vigorously in a zig-zag motion until a layer of fine, emerald microfoam forms on the surface.
  4. Assemble with care:
    Scoop out your vanilla Ice Cream into a bowl, let your heart decide how much Ice Cream to add. Gently pour your Matcha on top.
  5. Eat with intention:
    Enjoy!
