DIVING WITH MATCHA

Our farm region near the Japanese Alps is almost entirely covered by forests and mountains. We progressively shade our crop at 70 - 95% shade prior to harvest. -
The first tea harvest of the year is considered the best quality because the tea plants are full of vital compounds stored over the course of winter. -
The leaves are gently steamed to prevent oxidation and to ensure they retain their abundance of amino acids, nutrients, vibrant color and exceptional taste. -
After steaming, the leaves are gently air-dried. -
The leaves are then sorted by grade, de-stemmed and deveined. Only the leaves that make it through this rigorous process become our Tencha. -
COLD STORAGETencha is moved into cold storage, where it is then stone-milled into the finest matcha powder. -
Stone-milling preserves and produces the finest powder and is a labor intensive process. -
Our tea is documented to surpass organic and ISO22000 certification standards. -
Lastly, our tea sommeliers step in. They are the final step to ensuring the highest quality matcha is also the best tasting matcha.
I tried dozens of different brands of matcha in the years before I tasted Matcha Dive for the first time. I really wanted to like this matcha more. I took a chance and ordered the large pouch and just found this matcha to be average unfortunately. When I initially opened it it did have that vibrant green color I was looking for but unfortunately the taste isn’t as smooth and crisp and I wanted it to be for my daily usucha in the morning. It doesn’t taste bad when mixed with oat milk but like I said I typically drink it straight in like a “espresso” form so it wasn’t up to the quality that I hoped for

My regular matcha was out of stock so I took the advice of a friend and ordered from matchadive- glad that I did cause the quality is on par with the brand I usually purchase from & love that they offer a big bag for people like me who drink matcha daily sometimes 2x a day as my sole source of tea/caffeine. I start every morning off with a cup of matcha to get my day started right. I add a drop of maple syrup for a bit of sweetening and top off with warm, frothed almond milk. Delicious!

Matcha Dive is THE best matcha I've purchased in the last three years. I've tried so many different brands. I recently compared the color, texture, and taste of three different matchas and Matcha Dive won by a landslide. It's a completely different product. I LOVE the taste. It's so good it doesn't even need honey. I can't drink anything else now. So. Good.
